Event Center Rental Agreement-Exhibit A
The Witt House Event Center Usage Rules

The following are usage rules that must be followed by Clients, Clients guests, and Vendors. Non-adherence to these rules will lead to fines and/or damages. Fees are listed in the Miscellaneous Fee section of the Special Events and Wedding Venue Contract.

1) MOVING EVENT CENTER DÉCOR
The Event Center décor will be positioned by the Witt House staff members based on the final plan agreed to at the 30-Day Meeting. Should Client choose to make minor adjustments to the Event Center décor after placement, Client MUST receive consent from The Witt House Event Manager. No Moving of furniture 

No loading in the front circle of the house. This is the aisle and starting area of most weddings and needs to be properly maintained. Vehicles damage and leave markings on the pavement. 

2) EVENT CENTER WALLS
Use of nails, tape or screws in any wall fixture, or equipment is prohibited. 3M tape may be permitted in some areas with expressed approval of The Witt House Event Manager.

3) CANDLES
All candles must be contained or enclosed in glass. The flame must not reach higher than 2 inches below the height of the glass

4) CELEBRATION ITEMS
  • The following Celebration Items are NOT permitted at The Witt House: bird seed, rice, confetti of any kind, glitter, artificial flowers, party string, Chinese Sky Lanterns, sparklers, Balloons, or fireworks. These items are a danger to The Event Space and other guests. If these items are used Client will be charged an Illegal Celebration Fee (see Miscellaneous Fee section of Special Events and Wedding Venue Contract) for each illegal item. 
  • The following items may be used OUTDOORS ONLY: bubbles or shakers. If any of these items are used inside The Event Center, Client will be charged an Excessive Cleaning Fee (see Miscellaneous Fee section of Special Events and Wedding Venue Contract).
  • Balloons may be used in moderation. Balloons must be removed during the Access Period and any broken pieces must be placed in a trash receptacle. If balloons (inflated, deflated, or pieces) are left after the Access Period, Client will incur an Excessive Cleaning Fee (see Miscellaneous Fee section of Special Events and Wedding Venue Contract). 

5) RULES FOR CLIENTS WEDDING VENDORS (Clint is responsible for communication of rules)
ALL vendors must unload in the designated load area. No front of the house unloading or unauthorized areas. 
  • Florists: Florist may bring their own containers. Client must notify Florist that every plant must have an underlying tray to prevent water marks on floors and/or furnishings. All floral equipment and residue (i.e. flower petals or leaves) must be removed from The Event Center (building and grounds) during the Access Period. Brooms and rakes are available from The Witt House Venue Manager.
  • Musical/Entertainment: Clients and Vendors must adhere to the following rules
    • Volumes must be kept at a reasonable volume at all times
    • All music must end by 10 pm. 
    • All equipment must have rubber/felt bottoms or be placed on a carpet or other protective material. 
    • Equipment that gets hot during use must be mounted on appropriate fireproof materials.
    • All equipment must be installed and removed during The Access Period.
    • The Witt House reserves the right to end Music/Entertainment for not following these rules. 
    • All bands must load in the back loading area only.  
  • Rental Equipment/Wedding Supplies: Rental equipment /wedding supplies procured from outside vendors must be delivered and removed during the Access Period. Should that not be possible, Clint will occur a Pick-up/Delivery Fee (see Miscellaneous Fee section of Special Events and Wedding Venue Contract). All equipment must have appropriate materials to ensure no damage is made to the Event Center floor.
  • ****No Red Wine is permitted in The Witt House**** 
6) SMOKING
  • SMOKING is only permitted in designated areas at the Event Center (building and grounds). Fines will be assessed.
7) Minor Aged Children
  • No children are allowed unattended on the premises. All children must be under adult supervision at all times. 
  • Children are not to “play” inside the house for any reason 
  • No children playing in the fountain.
  • No running around barefooted. (of any age)
8) Front Lawn
  • Any Damage to lawn of landscaping during your event you will be held liable.
